2k, I didn't mean as an insult, I have just found that jeep people find it difficult to blieve the abilities of the G wagon, it is one of the last SFA SRA SUVs out there. While in america they only offer the LWB, fully loaded model it would not be easy to follow a wrangler in some rock conditions (remember there are times LWB is better then short and short better then long, there is no question about that). If you compare a SWB G to a SWB wrangler (i say that b/c of the new ugly ass strech version they make), you would notice they are VERY equal. The G comes with 3 locking differentials as does the jeep (I believe). As far as mud, with stock rubber to stock rubber i'd give the nod to the Jeep, being that it has more aggressive tires from the factory then an america spec'd G which is designed for street duty here. With identical tires, I would say the G and warnger are even, maybe the G is slightly better if the Wrangler does not have a center diff lock. One thing is for sure, 95 percent of American G wagon owners will not wheel with their rides so we are left with what I have done/seen and what I have been able to view. Each has their +s and each has their -s, there is NO one perfect vehicle. For your needs you like the jeep, for me, I love being able to wheel in complete comfort complete with auto air and Navi system with a killer radio. The one place I give the huge nod to the G is in street manors and build quality. Something about being hand build is just awsome and vault like.
