before yall start claiming rice that bar actually is functional. If you dont think your civic chasis flexs that much when put under a load jack up your front tire and open the door and shut it youll notice it isnt as smooth as normal why because of your chasis flex. Now this was done with the weight of your car at one wheel now consider the weight of your car at speed where momentum is a multiplying factor in force if your chasis flexes that much just jacking the car up imagine taking a corner. That bar is placed at one of the best places to combat chasis flex in the middle of the vehicle. The further the 2 drive wheels are apart the more flex putting this in the middle cuts down on the flexing from one end of the car to the other. If you think this is bullshit take out the rear seat of the 99-00 Civic SI youll see a piece under the rear seat that goes from one seat belt location to the other you think honda put it there for no reason? If you look at what honda did to stiffen up the chasis of the s2000 especially since its a convertable youll see they use X bracings underneath the car this is the same concept only x bracing is going to be better. Many race cars do use this its really easy to see on some tube chasis. Now Ive never been a big fan of aerospeed however if you do want a bar like this to stiffen up the chasis look into the do-luck bar and its price is roughly $230. Its really sad seeing some of yall bash a product before you know anything about it its sad to say but thats the same mentality that rice boys have.
