lol, I see what you mean now. I also know what you mean about seeing imports getting on the strip and running slow times. I can't speak for everyone in the import racing world, but, its all part of a process for some of those people who are slowly (due to money, time, etc) on their way to building a car to break into the 12 sec or faster range. Others are building imports for drifting, auto-x/road racing, and from what I've seen, usually get good results.
The rest of the import drivers who don't know shit and give the 4 cyl+ import cars a bad name, well, hopefully it will be a fashion that goes away and keeps the apocalypse from coming to the racing world. =)
As far as building a car that was made to be fast in the first place, well, I wasn't thinking about that when I bought my CRX back in 2000. I just knew I loved it and heard you can drop integra motors in 'em. Nowadays, I'm not so picky about things. If I had the extra cash, I'd love to build up a camaro, rx-7 or older supra for the track.
good response but the lack of money thing is no excuse. you can buy all sorts off cars in the same 1500-3000 price range way faster than a 4-door honda. but like i said to each their own, just kinda like trying to jerk off with no thumbs.
