Hmm, weeks have passed but still no a/f graph from scott. Why am I not suprised.
Here is what he has posted. The overall power is nice but its delivery is proving to be quite tempermental (as I predicted).
With all those ups and down in the latest graph it certainly it certainly appears to be surging or having a problem maintaining a consistant a/f.
I can see why scott prefers just to post the total numbers here instead of the graphs and I have yet to see an a/f graph since the one he posted below.
Looks like I need to check in here more often, all of those political threads in FFA are wasting to much of my time.
Damn Dud glad to see you save all of my stuff, I can autograph those for you if you would like.
Now on to the relative stuff.
I have not checked the A/F again since the one you posted, there is no need to since the car is running perfect.
Delivery is being tempromental ? How ? Note the scale we are using on the A/F graph. Very small incriments so we could watch very closely. Most people run a much more broad display, if I did this the line would be almost flat. Of course before you said it would not run right at all, lots of tuning would need to be done all the time, blah, blah.. Nope ! Wrong again. The carb has not been off or apart since it left the shop on Valentines day.
I have about 20 dyno sheets, I can lay all of them on top of themselves and the powerbands are all right in the same spot with only three sheet shaving small dips like the one you posted. The dip you see in the one graph you have is because Sam jumped on the car when it was stone cold causing the carb to backfire then go. Has not done it again now that we know the car needs to have at least a few minutes of heat in it on a 40 degree day. So again do you need a spoon for your words ?
And you say "I can see why scott prefers just to post the total numbers here instead of the graphs". Hmmm looks like I posted a very recent GRAPH from my new best last month. So did I miss something here ? As mentionec we have not hooked the A/F back on the car because there is no need to. My EGT's read great and the car performs flawlessly.
Man I enjoy serving you your words. Anything else you want to teach me ?
Wait until the new block goes in ! :o Go ahead and say it now, "Scott will not be able to make 700+ at the wheels with a 302 carb / turbo motor". That will just insure that I will.
