What's with all the TR Hate lately? Not just from you, but from everyone. I just happened to quote you for other reasons. I don't get it. I read the original thread and I agree with SSpiro - why do people put 93 octane in their vehicle when it's not
required? What is the purpose? Does it give even better gas mileage? Does it do something special for the car? I have no clue and was curious as well but then everyone got their panties in a bunch and it got locked - just as many other threads are getting locked on here lately. And to further illustrate your point Vapor - I own a Jeep and I need it. I need it to haul things (car parts, my dog and his carrier, groceries, luggage...the list goes on), to make long road trips that much easier to handle, and to have that extra security feeling. I'm scared to death of semi's and at least in my Jeep I feel thismuch safer. I also like having 4WD for those days after a good rain or rainy days when I need it. I don't think I'm a tool and I don't think that everyone that owns Jeeps and SUV's are. I think people that own riced out cars are tools, and I think you would agree with at least that.

He was just asking a question so that he could have some knowledge and insight on why people - especially those with 4cyl cars - use 93 octane if it is not required. That is all.
