I have to disagree. I decided to run an AVC-R with my stock turbo until I upgraded. I had no issues with drivability, partial throttle boost spiking, etc. When I finally upgraded the turbo I pulled the boost controller out and sold it and went with a reflash. It all worked out fine for me.

I think alot of the issues with boost controllers is that some of the owners just don't know what they are doing and they get in and start playing around with stuff and wonder why they have issues.
