No, won't really do you any good. The stock intake does a good job at getting fairly cool air on it's own. Also the heating of the intake charge by the turbo and cooling by the intercooler really make it a mute point.
The only real benefit to a different intake would be it being a larger bore so that you could possibly make more air available. That's if you manage to not have the issues that many others have had with lean conditions or CELs, etc from aftermarket intakes. But, since you will still be running the stock (hacked) airbox you still have that restriction to deal with.
p.s. I've never had any negative issues with my CAI.
