You can make more power/lb with a smallblock ford.
The DOHC is a pig just like the mustang it comes in.
It's very top heavy because of those massive cylinder heads up top. Kills the center of gravity.
Mod motors have seen consistant oil starvation in road racing.

It's a great motor for a daily driver, but has far too many drawbacks to be the best of all time.
