I always bring my cash with me. I won't be caught finding a car I want, test driving it, checking it out, then have to run to the bank to get my money. That's too much time for someone else to call and offer more.

I can say, when I bought my MX-6 from a guy on e-bay, that he was cool about it. I called on a Sunday to confirm the price, even offered to up it some to compensate for an unfinished auction...he declined, said if I come to get it Monday, I could have it for the current auction price.
Sometime in the 3 hour drive to Miami, someone had upped the bid another $25. He ended the auction early not long after. I arrived, looked over the car, drove it, pulled out the cash, and paid. Then he told me someone had bid another $25 on it, but he already had decided he wanted it gone ASAP. Cool guy.

BTW glad it went through finally. Has to be frustrating to say the least.
