Wouldnt it have the same effect as using too much octane? If you subdue the combustion too much youll lose power. Im sure that on an even higher compression engine you would find the w/i to help with detonation and power.
Im sure a car could be made quite fast with a jr blower with all the torque youre getting you could always play with CR and just as you would with a turbo upgrade the internals and tune accordingly.
