You can use type-r rods on a GSR crank or Type-R crank w/ gsr rods etc.

Type-r rods are lighter & more balanced then gsr rods.
You should honestly just run an ls crank & rods, save your self some money & get a true 1.8L displacement.
The difference in Rod to Stroke ratio isnt that much.

Rod bearings are $8-13 each half depending on what dealer you use. Acl bearings are a cheap alternative, but I recommend oem bearings
