Obviously super-controversial, but if you want to stick with an import, you can't go wrong with a DSM. When I bought mine, my criteria was big HP potential on a stock turbo motor that came in the car.

I don't own a mustang or a Camaro, but there are plenty of low dollar success stories that didn't involve motor swaps or major modification. If you want to deal with a motor swap, I'm sure the 240 guys can chime in.
