An additional way to confirm is by the valvetrain.
The valvesprings should be dual springs for intake & exhaust on a type-r head, unlike the b16 which only has dual valve springs on intake side.
Also the camshafts have different markings, search the internet for pics of oem 2001 spec itr cams.
The head could have itr internals installed on it, then the only difference would be the factory p&p job which isnt that great anyhow.
