that might be a problem..but i installed it like 2-3 inches away and its fine...you may have wired them backwards
The first wire is about two inches from the ecu plug but the brown and black wire are only supposed to only be 1 cm away from EACH OTHER with the brown wire closest to the ecu. How far apart are your two gound wires (brown and black) mounted from each other?
