You may want to rethink this as its not very true. The RB26 straight 6 is easier to make more power, very balanced, and out of the box, a much better race motor as that is specifically what it was designed for unlike the VG. The JGTC skyline does NOT use a VG....it uses a VQ because nissan no longer makes the RB and the VQ is their new engine which will be in the new skyline. It is their future and that is why they use it.

However, I do think its a bad idea to put an RB in a 300zx as it doesnt fit well, sits farther forward, and stick way up. Not to mention that a VG or SR both make plenty of HP for a RWD car.
