Is it pointless to get a VAFC or SAFC if a motor (in my case, B16a1) is mostly stock? Which is a better application?
My car has been throwing a 'Check Engine' light code 22 (VTEC Pressure switch) for about 3 weeks now. I have been singling out all the possible problems, and none are it, except for, my guess, being my PW0 ECU crapping out.
I purchased a PR3 ECU, and it has seemed to fix my engine code problem. Only thing I dont like is the fuel cut-off and revlimiter. I have heard that a VAFC or a SAFC will get rid of both.
Now my question... which is better? Do I even need one? How hard are they to tune? Will it be O.K. on a B16a1 with intake, header, and a fuel pressure regulator? If anybody knows, or has a lot of experience with either of these Apexi products, please let me know... all help is much apperceated
