This is a great example of someone who should not be a police officer. He has no training in how to handle a problem like this the way I see it. Instead of defusing the situation he makes it worse. This police officer stepped out of line almost right off the bat. He does not need ID to figure out what is going on, he needs to talk with both parties involved. I understand when you leave the north eastern states law enforcement seems to be second rate but come on. If these two were troopers or polices officers where my family works they would be fired and probably face worse charges. This was handled horrably. Slap a HCSO uniform on them and you have most cops in this area. All you have to do is look at the nevada state police homepage to see that they will take just about everyone who applies. when you are a police officer you MUST operate in a standard that is higher then others, you must be polite, personable, able to work out situations without force. Police officers (at least where I am from) are not out to get people like this officer, they are there to serve and protect without acting like high schoolers. Thats my .02 cents.
