I look at NOS as upgrade just like any other performance mod . You get a open element ( Intake ) and it makes you faster . you get cams ...to make you faster .
just because it changes chemically doesnt mean its cheating. Most of NHRA uses NOS and they dont call it cheating. It is the cheapest most effective way to get the most HP for the money .
