you'd spend $40 easy getting that crossmember fabbed up, and in that article i posted, the guy who did fab up something ended up cracking the tailshaft and having to buy one anyway......

NOBODY IS FABBING ANYTHING. He's talking about cutting thru 2 spot welds on the crossmember, sliding it back to where it needs to go, and putting 2 more spot welds in its place. The longest part of the process would be driving to a welder to have the spot welds done.
And what I was referring to on the seals and bushings is getting someone elses used junk and wondering if the seal or bushing are worn out, which WILL leak AND ruin his tailshaft.
