Default Fiberglass resin/hardener mixture chart

From my experience...

Dont waste your time with drops of hardener.

go to the medical supply store and pick up a nice seringe, without needle (VERY IMPORTANT!!! no needles, id hate to see somone get all sorts of hurt because if this)

(your seringe probably wont have toothpaste in it like the last picture, so dont be dissapointed )

These are the type youre looking for... 35 cc's 20 cc's whatever.. lots of times theyre in boxes of like 30 for 20 bux, maybe you can buy less, they mgiht even have something similar @ home depot, I havent looked.

take your 2 tubes of hardener you get with your gallon of resin, and squeeze them both out completley into some container with lid, so no spills and no worries about stepping on the tubes and having them break all over your floor making a wonderful smell (btw mekp will strip paint, i have a bald spot on my toolchest from a tube that leaked)

Pour out the amount of resin youre working with, whatever the amount may be, and use the seringe to draw in hardener to the right amount, and then dispense it intot he cup with resin in it.

I use translucent mixing buckets with labeling on them, so I go by OZ's to cc's with this chart.

Ok so, I made this up to hang in my garage so i dont have to do calculations all the time. this is with ~2% hardener/resin. 2 percent is a fiarly slow dry time.. like 20 mins working time, then drying time.. more hardener = faster dry time, but more heat.

oz of resin/CC's of hardener
1 .6
2 1.18
3 1.77
4 2.36
5 2.95
6 3.54
7 4.14
8 4.7
9 5.32
10 5.91

You can acheive pretty much every amount of resin/hardener from here...

11 oz of resin? 2.95 + 3.54 = 6.5 (or 5.91 + .6 lol)
11 oz -> cc's = 325.30 325.30 / 100 = 3.253 (1 %) * 2 = 6.5

Hope this may help anyone (and I really hope my math is right lol)
Keep in mind I use an MEKP dispenser and not the fagtastic drop by drop method, and feel free to add a bit more hardener for faster drying, these are ballpark numbers.

ok I edited it with more info.
