I haven't heard of anybody ever finding out that happened or anything like that. There is no way to tell unless the car is an OBDII and it would throw a speed sensor code, but thats is easily cleared. If the car is in good shape I don't see a problem.

, FYI. But like you say it's easily fixed. Check oil change records. If its done at a dealer they input mileage at every service.
