I just bought a 347 stroker kit from TMD(Ebay). It had Probe Forged rods and pistons. A cast crank, chrome moly rings, and King main and rod bearings for $1000. I think they have a kit with a forged crank for like $1300. I put another $1000 in the machine work on my block and then putting it together. Not sure what the costs are and what the warranty is on the package deal, but I hope that the figures help with ideas.

I can't tell you anything bad yet, because I've only got about 600 miles on the bottom end.
