i have a short block that i got that has spun rod and mains but it is standard bore..

you can buy a N/A 4g63 block from the junkyard for under $50. Same thing just needs oil squirters.

yeah, sounds like it. I think 50-60 is good, considering you can get a running 6 bolt shortblock for a little over $200
