Like I said, only "fixed the (solder globed/un-taped )O2 wire. as it 4 sure would of cause issues nothing else. Done.

 

there was nothing there to fix man. you shouldnt of had to touch any wiring. man up. pay up. you can talk on tr but u cant answer your phone? be a man, lets handle this like adults and get over this. shit was blown out of control before but thats a error oon both of our parts. stop the lies man up and settle this

 

just my .02..but i say pay back the 200..forget about the ecu..the only thing you can prove that really was his fault..and that he will admit to..is a bad tune..the ecu..no ones takin blame for..sry bout both your luck..i know how this shit happens..(lost 1500 on a motor build and knew for sure..without doubt..what the problem was but cant get in touch with the guy..but i will handle it like a 9th grader if i see him but its also 1500 and for sure proven to be his fault)

 

DONT SLEEP, do you enjoy making yourself look like an ass? If someone asked me to tune their car and their wiring wasn't right, I'd fix it first and ask questions later. If the customer told me not to fix their wiring, I'd make them sign an "advanced advisory" disclaimer or tell them I outright wouldn't tune the car. Your point is moot as far as I am concerned.

I still fail to see how John has any obligation to replace an ECU that was in all likelyhood damaged by USER ERROR. Switch a couple plugs, get the damage that occurred.

You can ask John for your money as much as you want. You can try to run his name through the mud. At the end of the day, you're being nothing more than a shithead if you hold him responsible for what is beyond his duty of care. John's still John and guess what - YOU'RE A SHITHEAD.

If you REALLY wanted your money back, you would do your best to explain in a rational and concise manner WHY John has any DUTY to do anything. The car ran when he touched it. The honesty of customers has led me to a "once it leaves, it's on you" policy because for all we know, you could have spilled water and the liquid touched your ECU. Unless you can explain why we should believe it's John's fault, the way you are carrying on makes me believe you are looking for a scapegoat. Acting like a bonehead demanding money won't get you anywhere in reality, and you still look like a bonehead in cyberspace.

Is this shop a legitimate business with a liscence? If not this is technically a closed case. If there happens to be any further dicrepancy, which I know there will be, take it to small claims. Mitigation is getting you guys nowhere. LOCK THIS SOAP OPERA!!!!!!!

 

My standpoint learn more about cars before having someone else touch it.If you dont know basic shit about ecu's and how they work dont get a modified car.

 

i knew you comming in here would be one sided. like i said before, you are not here nor know everything that is going on so you calling me names is comical. fact is HE MESSED UP. he did something he wasnt supposed to. he changed programs. there was not permission for him to do that. he promised to refund my goods to me. and has failed.

its ok i know he isnt gonna man up. but this thread has had over 450 views. so im at least satisified that 300+ honda/acura enthusiast like myself know the stuff he has pulled and doesnt even have the decency to fix a cluster fuck he has created. so im at a minimal satisfactory level knowing people will take a second guess when having modified racing inc tune their cars.

 

I havent read all of this but I only thinks its fair to give some other commentary on John Solero.

Personally I think he is awsome. He can occassionally be diffucult to reach but who cant now adays. But he has worked on my car a few times and put in about 5 hours on it. He also drove from bradenton to lakeland to finish a tune that he wasnt able to complete because some moron rear ended me while we were street tuning it. He actually got hurt in that wreck and still came up to lakeland to finish the tune for the cost of the original tune. I have a ton of cash into my car and I will let him work on it any time. I trust John Solero with my beast of a machine and you should too. He will get it done. Sometimes shit goes sideways in life and alot of times shit goes sideways with our cars. There is a constant barrage of finger pointing, angst and axiety for these guys and I feel for them. John is the fucking man in my book.
