I was in the LQK on 40th St. by Sunshine this morning and there was an 85 Cougar XR-7 with a complete 2.3T setup still in it. Non intercooled but everything else was there. PK-1 computer and the harness and VAM were all there...even the BCS and the stock air cleaner.. I didn't have the time or the tools or I would have attacked it.

Get there before someone else does.

 

I called Tyler and let him know so it might already be missing parts!

 

Yeah, I was going to call him but I guess I zapped his number. Hope it's still there. I don't know if it was the IHI or Garrett. Either way, it would be nice to have...if LQK doesn't rip you off on prices that is.

If that's the same car I'm thinking of it still had the 5-speed in it a few weeks ago but the last time I was there the trans was gone. It's been there for quite awhile. I remembered thinking that it's probably a pretty rare car. Not sure how many Turbo ,5-speed, cougars were made but it can't be that many. Too bad it ended up in there. I grabbed the Marchal fog lights off it.

 

any clue on the condition of the seats and their color?

 

Must be 2 of them then. This one had an automatic. I didn't look to see what kind. The seats were gray. Pretty good condition I think but had some junkyard grease or dirt on them. Might clean up. Again, I didn't pay that much attention to them

 

Wow, I guess there were two of them. The other one was definitely a 5-speed. I'm guessing that one must be gone now . It was over a month ago the last time I was there, so that row has probably been replaced.

 

I didn't see that one. This one is in the 3rd row from the far end near the electronical powertricity fence. It's black and looks like it was painted with a Swiffer.
