i think this place in pinellas park will mount and balance for like $5-10 a wheel. might wake up early one day this week and go get it done.

alright so i stopped by the shop yesterday for an update.
all of the metal panels are being painted today and all the plastic parts should be painted over the weekend.

everything is pretty much taped off..


except the driverside door frame..






i got my tires in (i sent my 225-50-16s back for 215-45-16s)


i picked up some brand new slotted EBC rotors for $50 yesterday


and i picked up the painted headlight housings so i can put the retrofitted headlights back together this weekend once im done wet sanding, buffing and sealing the headlight lenses.

i got both headlight lenses wetsanded. i have trimmed up one housing and i will do the other one tomorrow. i will be taping off and painting the trim pieces on the lenses, getting some silicon, and finishing off the retrofit tomorrow.

i also got all 4 tires mounted and balanced today for $35. i love hood tire shops.

nope the guys at the tire shop were really really careful and very nice. i told them i would try to send them business. they did a WAY better job then SEARS!

and i learned somethings today and yesterday....
#1 - do not let aircraft stripper drop all over your plastic headlight cover (thank god i have a second one from my practice headlight.
#2 - do not use a drimel to buff plastic. especially when its set to 10k rpm. that shit melts plastic.
#3 - be very careful removing headlight lenses by baking them. it can slightly warp the housing and make it a little more difficult when putting the lights back together.

at least one headlight will be completely finished tonight. pics will be posted.
