jackson or turbo?
Both have advantages. S/C's are not affected as much by temp and humidity like turbos. From what I know, S/C's have no lag and are fairly easy to tune. On the other hand there is only so much tunning that can be done to said S/C. Turbos I guess....the sky is the limit, or should I say your wallet is the limit.
Super chargers are very parasidic and you cant paint as good of a torque curve that you can with a turbo. And s/c do have a bit of lag but its not much. And also s/c only go so big turbos come in all sizes.
My personal favorite reason to go turbo. I want one big enough for the entire family to hide in when it rains.
It also significantly raises the torque output of an engine the second it starts spooling.
Dont listen to people who complain about turbo lag, most of them havent actually driven a turbo car. If you buy a correctly sized turbo to your engine it is possible to reduce/eliminate lag.
Still not sold on the idea? Lets look at hard numbers.
How many sub 12s hondas are running on the streets? How many of them have superchargers?
