Caterpillar turbo question
I just got an extreamly cheap turbo of a Caterpillar marine engine. It is about a 55mm inlet. the number on the inlet housing is 055K. there are some other part numbers on it also. I need to know if it is possible to get a different hot side housing, since the current one is a big ass water cooled housing. Also where could rebuild it? there does not feel to be any shaft play, but the impellers do not spin freely.

give charlie at cmr turbos a call. i dont have his number anymore but if you do a search for cmr I am sure it will turn up.
