anyone have something to test for a boost leak???
im pretty sure i got a boost leak, but i cant find it visually. i was just seeing if anyone had a homeade contraption to test for boost leaks that they can help me out with. i have a 3" inlet on my intake for my turbo also. thanks
dave what you can do, to check for leaks after the turbo, is go to lowes and buy a PVC end cap the same size as your pipe, drill a hole and thread in a fitting for your air compressor and pump some air into it. i know some places have that machine that also pushes colored smoke thru intake tracts to see where a leak is coming from..........only thing that comes to mind......

i need to pressurize the system too see if it leaks, so i was seeing if anyone has anything like mike described. and i dont have any pressurized smoke sitting around so i dont think thatll work
Just hit up the PVC section at home depot and get yourself a 3" pipe and cap as mentioned. You can pick up a valve stem and insert it from the backside of the cap and glue it in. Use a 3" coupler to mate the testing device to the turbo inlet. I use one similar to this pretty regularly.

I have one of those things also if you need help let me know. Oh and if you do make one make sure you have a pressure regulator or a way to control pressure also. I wouldn't shoot 90 psi through your system you might blow off some hoses
