hope this helps...i remember quite a few ppl complaining about oil passing their seals on garrett rebuilds.

Most turbo seals are labyrinth type and can not completely stop large pressure differentials or standing fluids.

If you have never seen labyrinth seals piston rings are a good example of what labyrinth seals are like.

For this reason turbo drains literally need to drain the turbo which means that they must also allow the turbo to access vented air and vent exhaust and boost when pressures are high.

I'm so glad i found this I have a garret t3/t4 always smoked,Rebuilt it, changed return line set up 3 TIMES.Still smokes. I will definately order this part monday. Does anyone have an accurate bore that works?I dont want to starve my baby!!

just order a few different ones and go down sizes i guess.
