Funny, I saw Chris G mention he wish he went with Nikon from the beginning! BUT, we ALL know, the mk4 will be coming and will most definitely, probably, up the ante again...

lol Yeah, it bugs me when I shoot with all the D3 guys. Makes me realize how unbelievable that camera is.
I really dig Nikon's gear, a lot. I think they have really stepped up their game and either Canon is truly just falling behind or they are taking their sweet time coming out with something absolutely mind-boggling.
Being a Canon guy, I really hope their newest gear will be unbelievable. I've been waiting for the Mark IV ever since I picked up my Mark III! lol
I would LOVE to see a video feature on the new Mark IV. One of my buddies is the Canon rep for Latin America. He had the 7D at the Homestead race last weekend. He was taking videos of the Indy cars shooting out of the pits - good god, unbelievable. I think if I actually had the video capabilities I would use it all the damn time.
Regardless, I look forward to seeing what Canon comes up with. I hope it gives Nikon a run for its money.

Um I'm sure they will. C'mon though, I personally think Canon has the up on Nikon with their lineup, considering lenses too.
The 5dmk2 is nuts. What does Nikon have that can run with it? Exactly.
The D700 is a D300 with bits and pieces of the D3 inside, kinda.
Now they have the D300s, which still, exactly the same as the old D300, just with video and more of a D700 "look" on the backside, and nothing else.
However, both sides are slightly catering to the customer acquisition aspect of tring to get P&S people to step up to a DSLR, and I think both have been focusing on the lower end models too much...
