Default Wide Angle Lens Questions....

Found an Optica 52mm 0.45x wide angle lens online for pretty cheap and was wondering if I could get an opinion on it! The other half and I are going to orlando in a couple weeks and would like to have one while we are there!!!!

Thanks guys!

you will most likely get vignetting with it. All that one does is attach to any of your lenses like a filter.

Horrible vignetting or a little? For 20 bucks Im not expecting it to be professional quality... Just looking for it to be better than PNS really...

it doesnt really matter, you will most likely get some. and you will have to crop it out. it sorta self defeating since you will never really get a nice wide angle shot like you would with a real dedicated lens.

Kit lens isn't wide enough? Or do you not have the kit lens?

I wouls say keep away from those things, I have one of the fisheye adapters I bought for my old pns andthe quality is very bad and the added weight at the end of your lens is very akward. You have a d40x right? So you should have an 18-55mm and that should do fine unless you really need a wider angle.

If your good at manual focusing/metering you can look around KEH.com for an older wide angle lens, they have some pretty awesome deals on there.
