what is the diffrence on the D40 and the D40x

Default what is the diffrence on the D40 and the D40x
im looking to buy a dslr and and quite dont know the diffrence between the D40 and the D40x i had a chance to play with the D40x and i love it but do you have to use only the viewfinder or can you use the lcd screen????

d40 = 6 megapixels
d40x = 10 megapixels

but the d40 has better color sensitivity and the d40x has been discontinued,

and with most all DSLR's you have to look through the viewfinder, theres only about 2 or 3 where you get the live look though the lcd, such as sony's alpha's

yeah but in nikons case the D40 is better than the failed D40x
