i know it sounds cheesy, but, i have seen a few cars done at home buy some guys and the jobs look great. i want to try this but they only sell the paint not the reduer and such, what else is needed (i dont want a clear coat, i like mine with no shine) and is there a fomula for mixing i have to follow and what is it if there is......... sorry but i never mixed my own paint to paint a car before and i am full of dumb questions

if you are going with no clear then you have to get some sort of single stage, the clear has the u.v. protectors that will keep the paint from messing up from the sun. not really good paint it is cheap, if you do get the paint it should have the mix directions on the can or a mix sheet that you can get online.

thanks mate. paint in forida doesnt last orever and im only keeping this car few months, just want it to look ok for as long as i own it........... i have paintd before but, i nver mixed my own paint....so i guess i was alil misleading in my post, but thanks for the info

+2 duplicolor in the quart can is a lacquer paint anyways and its a ready to spray application (even says it on the can if you look hard enough).... you got to know how to prep you car right before you use that stuff , if any lil scratch is missed lacquer paint will shop everything!! just my 2 cents... if u get like a really cheap single stage a gallon of basic solid colors shouldnt cost more than 50-100 bucks with the hardner...GL man

that duplicolor stuff is a great product for the price says ready to spray but ive found a lil reducer goes a long way. in july i think well see it start getting pulled from the shelves due to the new laws.

I decided not to paint yet, i put the money into the F23 swap instead. but i guess if its gonna get pulled off the shelves it would be good to buy a few pints lol.
