Default painting tail lights, help

i was thinking about smoking my tail lights. i know where to get the paint, and what paint to use. but i am unsure of one thing. i am not sure if you just paint the out side of the brake light or do you take it apart and paint it from the inside. if any one knows plz post. thnks

yeah its not that hard. just scuff up the lenses on the outside and then just clean them of dust and other shit and just paint them. Good luck
