Default Car not starting NEED HELP!

heres the deal....... bought a 83 porsche 944 for dirt cheap last week, the car was kinda slow at starting so i thought it needed a new battery. I got the new batt and put it in... now when i go to start i just get a clicking noise... just one click.... the weird thing is that when u jump the car it does the same thing..... when i ground the negative jumper cable to the chassis or something is tries to start up but it wont...... could it just be the starter? why would it try and start when grounded to something else? any feedback is appreciated thank you

Could only be four things causing a car to not turn over.......bad battery, bad starter, bad wiring or frozen motor......

ouch, since its a Porshe be prepared to spend 1000 times more for a part than it would normaly cost you.

Porsche and Chevy V8s combined if you want to convert it over to a much better V8 (ie LS1)
