Tire Stretching
Dangerous?
Impractical? Awesome? Safe if done right? Discuss :nerd: |
less sidewall flex = promote doris
and if it's your thing, looks cool or whatever, not my flavor... i notice a big difference sliding with a stetch. |
as long as its not ridiculous, ie: just enough for some flushness.

and idk about sliding them.... i wouldnt do it w nice wheels, thats for sure
|
its fine as long as its not a stupid stretch. even then, most people that rock crazy stretches arent doing time attack. i have a minor stretch, 18x9 front, 18x10 rear Equips, 225/40 up front, 235/40 rear

I have minimal stretch also. I dont give a shit whether or not a tires stretched or not. obviously its good for going for fitment purposes, and not good if your looking for max grip.
its whatev |
most of what will be posted in here will be opinion rather than fact.
Fact, extreme stretch can be dangerous...just like getting a flat at speed is dangerous. Mild stretch does improve turn in and does increase ability to break loose and slide. Opinion, It looks gay if you are 4x4 with stretched tires... |
I enjoy a great stretch
