Default s13 no spark no fuel pump

Hokay boys and girls. This is where I'm at. I bought a shell and pieced it together. Motorset is an s14 ka s13 dizzy an accompanying hardware. Know the guy and the motor i bought is legitimately and pulls hard. I get the motor in, wurwurwurwur. FUCK!!! I got the ecu from some random homeboy on Craigslist, said it worked but you know people. No fuel pump turning on with key. No spark at coil. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Getting another ecu tomorrow hopefully.

I haven't checked the injectors. I tried jumping the 3&5 on the egi relay to no avail. I'll have a multimeter and can hopefully have more info tomorrow on volts on the pins of the ecu. Would really appreciate someone coming by and helping/test swapping ecus to see if maybe im right. The harness isn't fucked as far as I know but it would take hours to continuity test every wire on it. All the plugs and whatnots are in good condition and it doesn't look like it was run over 37 times. All grounds are solid. Probably gunna sand down to bare metal just to make extra sure

when the key is in the run position, do you get a check engine light/does the ecu light up?

could just be something dumb like a popped fuse preventing the ecu from even getting power.
it has been a minute, but if i remember correctly, the "engine cont" fuse is what powers all of that.

I checked every fuse with a test light and all checked out good. I know 38&43 (iirc) are power on the ecu, I have a pinout so ill get everything checked with a multimeter when I get off. No cel or led in ecu. No power to ecu even with 3&5 on egi jumped. Gunna be a long night of wire tracing and finger crossing. If I had another ecu I could eliminate that from the equation, I remember the guyimg saying it gave his friend trouble but worked fine for him??

I got another ecu and got it in. Still not led. Led on this one at least blinks when i turn the key off. I noticed though, as im plugging it in, the led comes on really dull for a split second. As I'm unscrewing it, the plug comes out crooked, but the light comes on with it cocked to the side with the power pins. I'm at a complete loss at this point. If anyone has any suggestions as to where I should be looking? Maybe another engine harness? it would be appreciated.

sounds like you should try to start it with the plug crooked.
could just be the ecu plug is bad. pins bent, wires pulled out. a number of things can cause that problem.
who knows, maybe that first ecu had bent pins, and that jacked your plug up. That would explain the whole "it gave my boy problems buy worked for me" aswell as the situation you have now.
From what you've described, I would focus on that ecu plug until another symptom comes up.

Well, long story short my sister decided to be a fucking bitch and undo the ground on the back of the engine after she watched me triple check all my grounds. Car runs now.
