Benefits of using s14 subfraim in s13?
I know its a little wider but I also know theres alot more to it than that. I have searched and came up with a coupple threads in nissan road racing but im not fully convinced it would be worth it for me yet. Please keep it simple to where I can still understand. Thanks in advance.

The main difference is the anti-squat geometry and the rear bump steer curves. The bumpsteer curve improvement is also dependent on setting your traction arm correctly. I put a lot of information on both subjects out on Nissan Road Racing a few years ago. To boil it down, you'll be able to put the power down a lot better leaving a corner with the S14 subframe. The subframe is 5mm wider per side, btw.

Front suspension is the same mounting points, so i'd think the lighter S13 would have more potential ultimately ?
In reality, splitting hairs, not going to matter much one way or the other, pick the one you think looks better.

full on track cars can take a lot more liberties with shit than a street car. bell bottom kits and crazy wheel fitment look cool sliding on a track, but when i want to drive to taco bus, im going to ruin all of that shit. so it just doesnt work for me. function over fashion.

Exactly. In the wide view, alignment, tire choice, etc. are a lot more important than the marginal stiffness difference and 5mm-per-side wider front track between the 2 chassis.

I just went off on this mental tangent thinking that maybe the s13 would be better because of the gain from the sub frame and you upgrade to s14 tie rods and things like that. I was almost envisioning, s13 with s14 subframe, 300zx uprights, and things like that yielding a noticeable difference as compared to a built up s14, assuming things like sway bars and coil overs where the same.
