so i have a s13 with a blacktop s13 sr
mod list:
walbro 255
megan turbo manifold
isis front mount
isis aluminum radiator
single cam maf
spec stage 3
spec billet flywheel


so the car surges under like 10 vaccum, its not to bad when the lights arent on, but when you turn the lights on its horrible. so i started the car and unhooked the neg cable and the car ran until i turned the lights on. so i think my alternator is going, but would this be the cause of the surging. Ive had problems with my maf as well because the wire has been spliced. i think that its causing a shitty connection because of outside interference with the maf. and the front mount has been prone to boost leaks (isis...)
so you guys tell me, why would the car be surging like this?

 

first off get the correct maf, second off pressure test your piping for leaks, 3rd off you have wiring problems. fix them.

 

well you can use a single cam maf because there pretty much identical. plus my stock sr plug works with the maf. and this might sound weird but is there something in the maf or wrapped around it that keeps out, outside interference?, and i have pressure tested the front mount, many times. and i constantly fix it, but it just happens over time, like just driving the car makes it move and run like shit. im going to order new couplers and clamps.
