Default transmission help

When I shift above 3k rpms it makes a sound like something is free spinning. Does anyone know what this could be I was thinking pilot bushing or throw out.

I'd be willing to beat you are talking about the noise a bad/going back throw out bearing makes, but I don't know why the 3 grand would have anything to do with it

take it all apart, inspect, replace broken/worn out parts, assemble, enjoy.

does it matter if your foot is on the clutch or not?
can you tell where the noise is coming from? like, towards the front of the engine, rear of the car, or right under the console
When did the noise start? after some work was done, night of drifting, etc

It happens when the clutch is depressed over 3k. It was going on when I picked the car up I really didn't notice it though till I drove it to work that day. The sound comes from right under me.
