injector question
ok so 1 of my injectors died and i replaced it with an altima injector would that cause me a fuel issue or would it not matter
|
im gonna assume that if its a different size, then yes.

What engine? What injectors were in there originally? How do you expect us to answer this without this info? Let's assume they're 270cc originally. that'd be 10/270, or a 4% change in fueling. This is not a big deal at all, and typically injectors vary 2-4% anyway. |
my bad its a 93 ka24de 240sx motor and the injector came from a 95 altima with a ka24de in it

well we did a spray test we pulled the fuel rail and cranked the car and had them spray at a piece of cardboard and it looked like the altima injetor looked like it was spaying a little mor that the other 3 240 injector that all sprayed the same
|
That's not very scientific. Atomization, spray pattern, maybe clogging of the other three, etc can all influence it.
If you're concerned, send them all off flor flowtesting - it's only $10/injector. |
k but arnt all injectors suppsed to read 10 ohms cuz they all do except injector 4 witch is a 240 injector it reads 12 ohms

It sounds like you've got some mix-and-match going on. I don't think it'll hurt. If it's anything but a stock application, I'd send them in for flowtesting. |
