In a S14:
Is this possible?
Will a JDM SR20DET bolt up to a US Automatic tranny?
Would I have to find a JDM Auto?

Or would it be better to do KA-T?

I know 5 speed would be easier/better but this car wouldnt be for me.

auto sr20dets were rare and ud have to have the importers specially import it because most of them dont bother bringing over the autos.

the ka transmission works but you have to use the SR bellhousing and the KA gears are longer.

if ur looking for an automatic turbocharged car go ka-t with a good torque converter with a nice 3000rpm stall for some off the line spoolup. i wouldnt bother with trying to get an auto SR20.

Thanks guys I had an idea that I was probably going to have to just do KA-T.

FMAX kit? or Custom?

This car doesnt have to be extremely fast. Low 14s/High 13s would be more than enough. I want to have fun to drive and also reliable.

A certain blonde will be driving it so it needs to be very simple to set and leave!

f-max stage 2 in fact. has the injectors and all!

however lately there has been an issue about the JWT ecu. its no longer being included because f-max dropped JWT out of including the programmed ECUs because JWT as we all know takes eons to do a program. however you can still send it to JWT yourself but expect it to take a few weeks and u wont have an ECU or a car to drive in the mean time.

chis ill help ya install the ole f-max if u decide on that.
XS also makes a good kit as well. i forget what EMS they are running.
