Default 5 speed swape dilemma

I have an s14. Got it as a shell.

I have an s13 dual cam motor. Going to be doing 5 speed.

1.Can I use a s13 tranny with s14 harness and AUTO s14 ecu?

2.What driveshaft would I need if I was to use the s13 tranny? Its a non abs s14.... Im assuming a non abs s14 driveshaft

3.Do I have to have use s14 tranny and s14 5 speed ecu?

4.Is the 5 speed ecu a must with either tranny or can I get away with using my auto s14 ecu?

A few people said on NICO you can use s13 tranny but you need to position the CAS correctly. They also are saying you can use the s14 auto ecu but it will throw codes.....

probably not what u wanan hear but...
sell the 13 motor.
buy a 14 motor
it sounds like you want to mix auto parts with manual parts. you need a manual trans ecu if i remember right.
but really tho, if u have a shell, drop a 1JZ in that bitch, theyre cheap enough now i would have if my car didnt already have an SR.

^ Plenty of people are saying on nico they are using there auto ecu's it just throws a few codes.

There really isnt a point in selling my s13 KA......

I can buy a s14 tranny and 5 speed ecu if I have to

look at ur long term goals. are u gonna KA-T, or SR, or something else. no point in spending money on things you wont need down the line, u know. id stay away from Nico if i were you. there are more intelligent and experienced people on Zilvia.

you need a s14 trans, and the TB and shit from the s14 motor. S13 transmissions dont have the CAS on the bellhousing.

you CAN run a auto ecu, but no idea why you would want to.

you need an s14 driveshaft w/ or w/out abs what ever your car is.

s14 drive sahft and auto ecu are fine in fact you will have no top speed limiter. and you can still use the s13 tb not sure why he said that just use an s13 cold air (like the one im sellin) lol and s14 5 speed drive shaft you will need and any ka trany will work.

the simple answer to your question is YES.

everyone has already pointed out the things that need to be swapped around to get it to work.

does the shell have the s14 engine harness?
if it does, and that is the harness you are going to use, then you need to swap the distributor as the s13 and s14 are totally different.

S14 TB has 2 plugs, s13 has 1. The intake has nothing to do with the throttle body, by the way.

After doing some reading.

CAS is on the motor on s13's and tranny on s14 motors.

So If I was to run:

S13 motor/S13 tranny/s14 wiring harness where would I plug in the cas? Motor? or does the plug not the same? or would I have to get a plug from a s14 tranny and install it on the s13 tranny and just leave the one on the motor unplugged

Scenario 2:

S13 motor/ S14 tranny/ S14 harness

Now there will be a CAS on the motor since its a 13 motor and a CAS on the tranny since its a 14 tranny. Which one to I plug in the one on the tranny?? and dont plug anything into the one on the motor?

Where are all the knowledgeable people ive seen over the years do all this 240 stuff. Durdan, Enthalpy,Epstein etc...

The reason I am trying to figure this out is I have some of the parts and would rather not buy others if what I have will work....
