i have no idea whats the problem i think i checked everything. i have a feeling its something to do with the light dimmer because when i put a new fuse in it stays on for a few seconds and when its on the dash lights are bright and good and all of a sudden they dim and the fuse blows.

do you have the interior in your hatch... and or have you done anything to it recently..

if you're tail lights are tweaking out, it could cause your dash lights to turn off as well considering they are all tied together...

do you're brake lights work when the tail lights don't?
that'll help to start narrowing it down..
