S14 questions
Is the radiator core support bolt in or weld in and do any of you have a prefered junk yard to go to that has some S14's sitting in the yard? I have some parts that I need to get but Idk where to really begin looking because 240's are somewhat a rare breed to see in junkyards here in lakeland.
It's welded.
Try the nissan dealership. From what I remember, a new core support wasn't that pricey, and you don't have to try and cut it out of a car.

I'm not sure it's even welded.... i think they either use that heat stamping, or the same epoxy they used for the rest of the frame work....
if you're serious bout replacing it, and for easy of install, I'd spring the extra $$$ and get it from the dealership... t may be more expensive, but you know what you're getting...perfection
repeat post lol.... just saw your post there needCAforS13

Ok, that works, reason I ask is cuz the car that I bought got backed into by a truck, the original owner before me ziptied the lights and what not to keep everything in the front end on. It works, doesnt move or anything, Id just like to replace the core support when I do my front end conversion on it. I work as a tech so Im not scared of doing the work, I just need to know how to do it LoL.
I priced one at courtesyparts.com and its about 400 even.
Do any of you have a friend at a bodyshop that could give me some guiding points on replacing it?

try reading up on s15 front conversions. i believe a lot of those guys replace their core supports with s15 supports. it should give you a good idea of how it's done.

Its spot welded in place. I know this because I had to drill them all out recently.
Replacing is pretty simple, there are factory alignment marks you can use to get it lined up correctly. I would just make the new one a bolt in. It makes pulling the motor so much easier.
