Default Breaking Up Sr20det

Hey Everyone I have a s13 sr20det, mods are
Sc61 turbo top mount external gate (18psi)
Greddy Intake manifold
780cc injectors w. walbro 255
z32 MAF
FMIC 3IN tubing
BC 264 cams I/E
Enthalpy tune for 20psi 8000rpm limit
SAFC2 Just to use a rpm and put full in certain spots where it need it

The problem I having is its breaking up around 6000 to 7000 A/F is good around 10.9 or 11.2 Sometime it does it and sometime it dont. I was thinking those 18 year old coils might be going. Anybody have an Idea?

Thanks

I would think it was a spark problem. Does it jerk when it hits 6k or do you feel the power drop out from under you gradually?

I'd stick some new BKR7EIX's in there at 0.028" before I dumped a bunch of money on new or aftermarket coils.

I just put a set in. Always have an extra set worth the shot. I also have a interstate battery samething as the odyssy wonder if that battery could be messing with the charging system

It's probably just a dying coilpack, then. An SC61 at 18psi, while making a ton of power, really isn't near the limit of the stock coils.

Enthalpy ran them up to 25psi and 540whp. Others have touched 600whp. Once you start adding things like B&M NewVolt / XS Eng. Power Pack type voltage amps it goes up from there.
