i have an 86 300zx and i need some help on a noise that im hearing from the rear-end. i'v pretty much narrowed it down to 2 things, but could be wrong. either wheel barrings or axels. its kind of a clunking noise and i only hear it when the car is cruising or slowing down, but if i use the breaks hard enough it doesnt make the noise. i also dont notice it while im accelerating unless im shifting. also i notice it when im going around right curves... any help would be greatly appreciated,i know if anyone can help me out its nissan-tech

 

sure it isn't suspension related? struts perhaps?

 

well i got under the car today and the noise was comming from the breaks... i also noticed that one of my lug's was cross-threaded and 2 others were snapped. so im going to replace the break pads and do the studs and get new lugs, and hopfully this will cure my problem.
