Default Rb20det Ftw!

So yeah I picked up a complete RB20DET motorset from japanmotorimport.com for 1200 bucks and this thing is in perfect condition. Compression is green across the board and it is clean. So I am finally getting around to removing my SOHC KA24E motor and replacing it. Dont know if you all are aware of this site but they sell motor mount and tranny crossmember adapters for sr20, rb 20,25,26tt they also sell oem nissan waterpumps and one peice steel driveshafts for conversions " no welding!" the website is mckinneymotorsports.com. But besides that I am getting down and dirty with my conversion and just wanted to know from people who have done RB swaps before if there are any things i should watch out for like bolts not fitting holes not lining up crap like that.

Mckinney is the best as far as bolt-in RB solutions. You certainly went to the right place. The RB20 isn't the most potent RB platform, but for $1200 and perfect compression, it sounds like you came out pretty good. It'll easily make twice the power that the your old single cam made.

I'll give you congrats for the cheap good running engine. It will be more fun than the one that used to be in there.
