i bought a 300zx vlsd for my 240sx and i wanted to know what axles bolt right up that will fit my car? is there other options? i at least know i need 5 bolt axles and change the casing. let me know guys. thanks.

 

what year 300zx? i figure you bought an n/a z32 (90-96) diff? 5 bolt axles you'll need yes, only have to swap the cover if it's going on s13. s14 and z32 are same covers, just z32 has cooling fins.

i forget if the z32 axles will work in the s13 or not. it will depend on the spline size mostly. you could try j30 axles, they are 5 bolt as well. you can use your stock 6 bolt axles, but you would have to swap out the output shafts for 6 bolt units.

 

yes, i did buy an n/a diff. The z32 axles do not fit because my friend bought the diff and the axles and he said they were too long. i guess i will go ahead and look for the j30 axles. thanks for the info.

Infinity J30 axles from 97 and up have the same 5 bolt splines you need and yes the z32 do fit. The shorter axle goes on the drivers side of the car.
